Hoofit is operated by Bernard Watson, trading as Hoofit, in Mount Compass, South Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our website, buy from us or contact us.
Information we collect and why
We collect information you provide, including your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, account details, orders and enquiries. Farm and trade account applications may also include business details. We use this information to manage accounts, assess trade applications, process and deliver orders, provide support, handle returns and maintain business and accounting records.
Payments and service providers
Our online store uses BigCommerce, and payments are processed through Stripe. We receive information needed to confirm and manage payments, such as payment status and transaction references. We share relevant information with service providers for store operation, payment processing, delivery, email and accounting, including Australia Post and Xero, where needed to provide these services. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Cookies and website analytics
The website uses cookies and similar technologies for functions such as your cart, account and checkout. We use Google Analytics to understand website use, including pages visited, device information and purchase activity. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; restricting cookies may affect some website functions.
Email, SMS and advertising
We send service messages relating to orders, accounts and enquiries. Hoofit does not currently send promotional email or SMS campaigns or use Facebook/Meta customer tracking. If our practices change, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described here and to meet applicable record-keeping obligations. Our technology providers may store or process information outside Australia.

Some information may need to be retained for accounting, legal or order-related purposes. If you have a privacy concern, contact us with the details so we can review it and respond.
