The Rose Gold variant is the limited colourway in our Hoof It Intermediate Disc range. If you want a disc that does not look like every other tool in the shed, this is it. Mechanically it is the same proven 7-blade carbide insert design as our Black, Silver, and Gold variants — same fit, same insert system, same replaceable cutting edges.
The Intermediate Disc is built for farmers and part-time trimmers — past the learning curve, not yet doing volume contracting. The 7-blade carbide configuration cuts faster than the Beginner Disc but is more forgiving than the aggressive Pro and Aggressor discs. For a typical dairy farmer trimming the herd two or three times a year, this is the right disc to own. The rose gold finish does not change performance, only appearance.
This disc ships from Mount Compass on the Fleurieu Peninsula. We design the Hoof It range ourselves and the colour variants exist because, frankly, we like the option. Pick the finish that matches your style.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Is the rose gold a limited edition?
It is the lowest-volume colour in our range, but we restock when supply allows. If you want this colour specifically, it is worth ordering when stock is available rather than waiting.
Does the rose gold finish wear differently from the others?
No — anodising creates the same hard oxide layer on the aluminium regardless of colour. The dye is in the oxide layer, not on top of it, so the colour does not chip off in normal use. All four colours have identical wear characteristics.
How does the Intermediate Disc compare to the Pro 8-blade?
The Pro has one more blade (8 vs 7) and a slightly more aggressive cutting pattern. It cuts faster, but it also demands more confidence and steady hands. If you trim infrequently, stick with the Intermediate. If you trim weekly, the Pro is worth the upgrade.
Can I run this disc on a battery-powered cordless grinder?
Yes — most 18V and 36V cordless 100mm grinders are powerful enough. Battery life is the practical limit: expect 30–45 minutes of trimming per fully-charged 5Ah battery on an 18V tool.
Are spare blade inserts available?
Yes — Hoof It Blade Inserts are sold separately (SKU INS-AGR-101 fits the Aggressor; the Intermediate disc uses the Intermediate insert pack — check the listing for fit). Always replace the full set together to keep the disc balanced.
